Ingredients
1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
1 cup grits
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
4 tbsp butter
1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
4 slices bacon chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp parsley chopped
2 tbsp green onions sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. Bring chicken broth to a gentle boil and whisk in grits
2. Reduce heat and simmer stirring frequently until thick
3. Stir in butter heavy cream and cheddar cheese until smooth
4. Cook bacon in skillet until crispy then set aside
5. Season shrimp with paprika cayenne salt and pepper
6. Heat olive oil and cook shrimp 1 to 2 minutes per side
7. Add garlic and cook until fragrant
8. Add lemon juice and mix well
