Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter melted

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups mini chocolate Easter eggs

1 cup chocolate chips

1/4 cup pastel sprinkles

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. Melt the butter and allow it to cool slightly before mixing.

3. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.

4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.

5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.

6. Slowly combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed.

7. Fold in the mini chocolate Easter eggs and chocolate chips, reserving a few for topping.

8. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.

9. Press the reserved Easter eggs and chocolate chips onto the top of the dough.

10. Bake for 24 to 30 minutes until the edges are lightly golden and the center remains soft.

11. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing into squares.

12. Serve and enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Remove the bars from the oven while the center still looks slightly underbaked for extra soft texture.

Reserve extra Easter eggs for the top to create a colorful bakery-style appearance.

Store the bars in an airtight container to keep them soft and chewy for several days.
