Editorial Policy

This page describes how content on cookmingle.com is chosen, produced, checked and kept up to date. It applies to every recipe on the site.

What gets published

Topics are chosen from what readers search for, ask about in comments and save on Pinterest, balanced with the seasons and the classic recipes every home cook wants to get right. The site covers recipes only: dinner ideas, desserts, appetizers and breakfast. It does not publish content outside those subjects to chase traffic.

How recipes are written and checked

Every recipe is written with measured amounts, stated times and temperatures, a yield and a printable recipe card. Before publishing, each post is reviewed for missing steps, amounts that do not add up and unsafe cooking temperatures. When a reader reports a problem, the post is reviewed again and corrected or taken down.

Writing standards

  • The recipe card, with ingredients, steps, times and servings, is near the top of every recipe and reachable with the Jump to Recipe button.
  • Instructions use plain words, standard measurements and the tips that make the difference, not filler.
  • Photos show the finished dish.

Credit and originality

Original content is written for the site and not copied from elsewhere. When a post features a recipe by another creator, the creator is named and linked and only a preview image is used. Readers who spot missing or wrong credit can report it through the Contact page; see the Copyright & DMCA page for details.

Corrections and updates

Reader reports of errors are read and answered. When a correction is needed the post is updated. Older posts are reviewed periodically and refreshed when ingredients, equipment or techniques have moved on.

Advertising and affiliate relationships

CookMingle is funded by display advertising and by affiliate links that are disclosed on the pages that use them. Advertisers do not see content before it is published and have no say in what is written or recommended. Sponsored content, if ever published, is clearly labelled.

Use of AI tools

Mingle, the recipe assistant on every post, answers reader questions from the text of that recipe using an AI model; its answers are generated on request and are not part of the recipe. The “What to cook tonight” helper sends only the ingredients you type to an AI model to suggest ideas and does not store them. The interactive calculators run in your browser.
