What CookMingle is
CookMingle is a home-cooking site built around one promise: easy recipes everyone can make. The library holds more than two thousand recipes for dinner, desserts, appetizers and breakfast, written in the same plain, step-by-step style with measured amounts, real times and a printable recipe card near the top of every post.
The site is run as a brand rather than a personal blog. There is no life story to scroll past and no pop-up between you and the ingredients. The Jump to Recipe button takes you straight to the card, the photos show the finished dish, and Mingle, the built-in recipe assistant, answers questions about the recipe you are reading.
How recipes are written
Every recipe is written for standard home equipment and supermarket ingredients, with measured amounts. Times, temperatures and yields are stated on every recipe. When something is fiddly or easy to get wrong, the recipe says so and explains how to fix it. Recipes that need unusual equipment or a special trip to a specialty store do not make the cut.
Readers help too. Comments and emails that report a problem are read, and when a recipe needs a correction it is updated.
Editorial standards
- Complete first: no recipe is published without full amounts, times, temperatures and servings.
- A printable recipe card with ingredients, steps, times and servings on every recipe.
- Honest notes: what can go wrong, how to fix it and what to make ahead, instead of a promise that everything is foolproof.
- Clear credit: when a post features another creator’s recipe, it is named and linked, and never republished in full.
- Transparent money: CookMingle is supported by display advertising and, occasionally, affiliate links that are disclosed on the page. Advertisers never see a post before it is published and never influence what is published or recommended.
How to contact CookMingle
Found a typo, a step that does not add up, or a recipe that did not work for you? Send a note through the Contact page or email [email protected]. Corrections are the most useful mail the site receives and they are handled first. The same address works for credit and removal requests, advertising and partnership questions, and anything else.
